SIGN THE PETITION!

If the dam promoters aren’t able to shift the cost of the 20 Mm3 of water for so-called ‘environmental flows’ to the public, the cost of the water will become unaffordable for irrigators and the scheme will sink.

Sign the online petition, wording below, by going to our home page and clicking 'sign the petition here' on the top task bar

"We, the undersigned, oppose the Ruataniwha dam promoters’ plan for public money be used to pay for so called ‘environmental flows’.  We ask Council to confirm publicly that they will not agree to pay for this water, nor commit any more ratepayer money to this project."
